EPE & Its Employees Donate To Veterans Count, Families in Transition/New Horizons Food Bank, Toys for Tots
As we all know, 2020 has been a tough year and resources are stretched thin during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. EPE is pitching-in to help our community and those in need.
This year, EPE and its employees are donating to Families in Transition/New Horizons Food Bank, an amazing organization that provides hunger relief, emergency shelter, safe affordable housing and supportive services to individuals.
EPE, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business, is also making a donation to Veterans Count, who, in partnership with Easterseals Military and Veterans Services, responds rapidly, efficiently and effectively to the unmet needs of veterans, service members and their families to ensure that they can thrive in their communities.
Lastly, for over 10 years, EPE employees have coordinated an annual toy collection drive for Toys for Tots. This year is no different and EPE, along with the generosity of EPE employees, will help local families with Christmas gifts in an especially tough time.
EPE is thankful to be able to assist these organizations with their services as they help local families in need.
On this Veteran’s Day, we honor all current and former members of the Armed Services. We especially thank our EPE employees who have worn the uniform and protected our freedom. Our country’s greatness is built on the foundation of your courage and sacrifice. Thank you!
Our EPE Veterans include Dave Parrotto, Ray Melendez, Jason Martin, Hollis Willoughby, Sean Finegan, George Sheldon, Joe Sippel, JD Bell and Jim Bell.
MANCHESTER, NH. (June 16, 2020): EPE Corporation, an industry expert in high-reliability Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) since 1965, has recently invested in its Surface Mount Assembly line capacity with the purchase of two new Mycronic MY300DX-17 pick-and-place machines, feeder systems and other line software upgrades.
The Mycronic MY300DX-17 equipment and software solutions deliver increased levels of placement speed and accuracy and improves productivity with a wide range of component types. In addition, the robust software provides fast feeder loading, location tracking, stock accuracy and proactive replenishment.
“These new Mycronic MY300DX-17 machines increase our efficiency for complex high-mix production work. They provide easy data preparation, job sequencing, line balancing, and feeder optimization. Another benefit of these machines is that we can easily switch from full volume to batch-size one,” comments Ken Desrochers, Vice President of Operations at EPE. “This important investment follows our recent purchase of three 5K series 3D Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) systems from VI Technology, a subsidiary to Mycronic. The new 3D AOI capability has improved our overall production efficiency by providing greater accuracy in detecting true defects while dramatically reducing false calls and guarantees EPE’s customers the highest quality standards,” he adds.
“Even during these challenging times of COVID-19, EPE Corporation continues to offer the best capabilities and technologies to our customers,” adds James “JD” Bell, Jr., President and CEO of EPE Corporation. “EPE has been using Mycronic production equipment for over 20 years, and the combination of speed, flexibility, accuracy, fast changeover and ease of programming have been critical in controlling the growth of our high-mix, low-to-medium volume business model,” he adds. “The addition of these two MY300DX pick-and-place machines, software upgrades and additional feeder systems will allow us to speed up our manufacturing process and enhance our delivery of timely, high quality products to our customers while at the same time providing plenty of manufacturing capacity to handle our projected growth,” says Bell.
EPE Corporation has been a trusted, high-reliability Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) expert since 1965. December 11, 2018: EPE employees are in the holiday spirit! Boosting our already strong Toys for Tots collection this year was a “Bake Off” coordinated by EPE employee Donna Guthro. Proceeds from the “Bake Off” were used to purchase more toys, making our toy drive even more successful this year. All baked goods submitted were delicious and made it difficult for the judges, JD Bell, Steve LeCour and Chris Lentz to decide!
Congratulations to the “Bake Off” winners shown below: First Place, Stacy Pasko (far right) for her pecan cheesecake; Second Place, Bernice Zafra (sitting) for her carrot cake; and Third Place, Nicky Spear (second from right) for her cherry cheesecake. A special thanks to Donna Guthro (far left) for organizing the “Bake Off”!!
Thanks to all who participated in the “Bake Off” to make it such a success and to those who donated toys to help Toys for Tots! EPE has the best employees!
